Chesapeake Ranch Estates, like a number of Lusby neighborhoods, has a property owners association. Calvert County's permit pages say that if a property has a POA or HOA, association approval may be required before construction. Associations generally care most about the outside of the house, so a kitchen that stays inside the walls is usually straightforward. When a project adds a window, a door, or a bump-out, we check with you about your association's process before we schedule the work.
