A 12 x 12 deck takes 2 to 3 days to build, a 12 x 25 takes 3 to 5 days, and a 16 x 40 takes 6 to 8 days. We provide a detailed schedule at your free estimate.
Pressure-treated decks start at $10,080 for a 12 x 12. Composite decks (Fiberon, Trex, TimberTech) start at $11,520 for the same size. Your price depends on size, design and what materials cost that month, and we track those costs closely so your quote reflects today's prices. Almost always for a new deck, but the rules change by county and town. In Calvert County, for example, replacing only the deck boards doesn't need a permit. We check your address, then handle the plans, the application and every inspection.
Composite decking (Trex, TimberTech, Fiberon) is virtually maintenance-free, resists fading and staining, and typically carries a 25–30 year warranty. Pressure-treated wood has lower upfront cost but requires annual maintenance. We can walk you through both options at your consultation.
A 12 x 25 deck is $21,000 in pressure-treated wood or $24,000 to $27,000 in composite, railings included. Steps and landings add to that.
We don't charge by the hour. Every deck gets a set price based on its size and design, in writing before work starts.
We dig footings 24 to 30 inches deep and 18 inches wide. The county inspects them before we build on them.
