Composite and pressure-treated decks and screen porches from Chesapeake Beach and Huntingtown to Prince Frederick, Lusby, and Solomons — built for the Bay and permitted the right way. Veterans & active duty military: 10% off, up to $1,000. Mention it at your estimate.
We build decks and screen porches up and down Calvert County — North Beach, Chesapeake Beach, Dunkirk, Huntingtown, Prince Frederick, St. Leonard, Lusby, and Solomons. Projects run from a new deck off the back door to a screened porch that makes a buggy summer evening usable again.
With the Chesapeake Bay on one side and the Patuxent River on the other, a lot of Calvert homes sit close to salt water. On those lots we build with marine-grade substructure, or marine-grade framing with composite decking made for saltwater areas, so the deck holds up to salt air and moisture.
We install Trex, TimberTech, and Fiberon composite decking and use pressure-treated lumber where a project calls for it.
Calvert County is specific about decks: building a new residential deck requires a building permit, and so do repairs or changes to the deck structure, stairs, or railings — but replacing only the decking boards does not. Permits are issued by Inspections & Permits in Prince Frederick through the county's Encompass portal.
Waterfront and rural lots add steps. A deck in the Critical Area — land within 1,000 feet of tidal water — needs a Critical Area Worksheet with the permit, and properties on a well or septic system get an Environmental Health review that checks setbacks. Homes in Chesapeake Beach and North Beach check with the town first. We handle every piece of it.
