We've installed floors throughout Charles County — Waldorf and the St. Charles neighborhoods, La Plata, Bryans Road, Indian Head, Hughesville, and White Plains. That includes townhouse main levels, full-house replacements, and tile in kitchens, baths, and entryways.
Our installers work with Shaw Floors and Mohawk hardwood and vinyl, Daltile tile, and Cali Bamboo, plus trim and transitions ordered through Build.com.
Charles County is one of the few places that spells this out. The Department of Planning & Growth Management's own list of work that doesn't need a residential permit includes floor laying and refinishing, carpet installation, and linoleum and tile work. For most flooring jobs, that means no permit, no inspection wait, and a faster start.
The exception is structural work. If an old floor comes up and the subfloor or joists underneath need repair, that becomes an alteration — and alterations are on the county's permit-required list. When that happens we pull the permit through the county's Citizen Self Service portal and keep the job moving.
