Basement finishing across Waldorf, St. Charles, La Plata, Bryans Road, and Indian Head — rec rooms, home offices, guest suites, and basement bathrooms. Veterans & active duty military: 10% off, up to $1,000. Mention it at your estimate.
We've finished basements all over Charles County — Waldorf and St. Charles, La Plata, Bryans Road, Indian Head, Hughesville, and White Plains. One team handles the framing, insulation, drywall, flooring, and trim, and coordinates the licensed plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work.
Common layouts include a family room with a wet bar, a home office, or a guest suite with its own bathroom. We'll help you work out what fits your ceiling height, stairs, and existing plumbing before anything is framed.
Finishing a basement is an alteration, and alterations are on Charles County's list of work that needs a residential permit from the Department of Planning & Growth Management. Plumbing and electrical permits are pulled separately by licensed trades through the county's Citizen Self Service portal.
The Charles County Health Department adds its own step. Its pre-approval for building permits says permits to finish a basement require an existing floor plan and a proposed floor plan, and it asks how many bedrooms are being added. It also notes that a septic inspection by a Maryland-licensed inspector is often required, so on septic homes we plan for it from day one.
