Calvert County treats plumbing and gas as its own permit category, and the plumbers doing that work are licensed through the county's own Plumbing Board. A licensed master plumber submits the plumbing-gas permit, and the building permit goes in alongside it through the county's Encompass portal.
The county also states that if you hire a builder, the builder has to be a licensed contractor, and it points homeowners to the MHIC lookup to check. Ours is #118450.
Prince Frederick is a designated Calvert County town center, and the county adopted a new Prince Frederick Town Center Master Plan in August 2026. Inside the town center, changes to exterior features such as windows and doors need Architectural Review Approval. If your bathroom plan includes a new or bigger window, that review goes on the schedule.
We also work in St. Leonard, Port Republic, and Dares Beach. See our bathroom remodeling in Calvert County page and the full list of areas we serve.
