Chesapeake Beach is an incorporated town with its own planning and zoning authority, and it sits right on the Bay. Both facts shape a bathroom remodel here. Davis Construction & Home Improvement has remodeled bathrooms throughout Chesapeake Beach, and we file things in the order the town expects.

In Chesapeake Beach, most projects begin with the town's review before anything goes to the county. The town's residential zoning permit form covers interior work — it has checkboxes for interior additions, interior removal, and interior remove-and-replace — so a bathroom where walls or fixtures come out is a town item. After the town's approval, the county side follows at Calvert County Inspections & Permits: a building permit and a separate plumbing-gas permit filed by a licensed master plumber.
The town's form also asks whether the property is in the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area, the land within 1,000 feet of tidal water. A bathroom inside the existing walls generally isn't affected; a bathroom addition gets a closer look.
A home close to the Bay starts out with humid air, and a bathroom adds steam on top of that. That's why ventilation is part of the job: an exhaust fan sized for the room and vented to the outdoors, as the building code requires.
We also work in North Beach, Owings, and Dunkirk. See our bathroom remodeling in Calvert County page and the full list of areas we serve.
