We use only the best composite decking brands — Trex, TimberTech, and Fiberon — along with pressure-treated lumber when specified.
Our team handles everything from design through final inspection: footings, framing, decking, railings, stairs, and finishing. We serve all of Southern Maryland including St. Mary's, Charles, and Calvert Counties.
Most residential decks take 1–3 weeks to complete depending on size and complexity. A simple ground-level deck may take 5–7 days; a multi-level deck with built-ins can take 2–4 weeks. We provide a detailed schedule at your free estimate.
Pressure-treated decks start around $8,000 to $10,000. Composite decks (Trex, TimberTech, Fiberon) start around $10,000 to $15,000. Your price depends on size, design and what materials cost that month, and we track those costs closely so your quote reflects today's prices.
Almost always for a new deck, but the rules change by county and town. In Calvert County, for example, replacing only the deck boards doesn't need a permit. We check your address, then handle the plans, the application and every inspection.
Composite decking (Trex, TimberTech, Fiberon) is virtually maintenance-free, resists fading and staining, and typically carries a 25–30 year warranty. Pressure-treated wood has lower upfront cost but requires annual maintenance. We can walk you through both options at your consultation.
A 14x20 deck without stairs runs about $16,800 in pressure-treated wood and about $19,600 in composite. Stairs and landings add to that.
We don't charge by the hour. Every deck gets a set price based on its size and design, in writing before work starts.
We dig footings 24 to 30 inches deep and 18 inches wide. The county inspects them before we build on them.
