Kitchen remodels across Waldorf, St. Charles, La Plata, Bryans Road, and Indian Head — new cabinets, countertops, tile, and complete layout changes, with permits and HOA questions handled up front. Veterans & active duty military: 10% off, up to $1,000. Mention it at your estimate.
Charles County is the most populous of the three counties we serve, and we've remodeled kitchens all over it — Waldorf and the St. Charles neighborhoods, La Plata, Bryans Road, Indian Head, Hughesville, and White Plains. Jobs run from swapping out cabinets and countertops to tearing a kitchen down to the studs and rebuilding the layout.
Much of St. Charles is a planned community governed by homeowners associations. HOA rules generally focus on the outside of the house, so a kitchen that stays inside its walls rarely needs association sign-off — but a new window over the sink, a range hood vented through an exterior wall, or a bump-out usually does. We flag those items early so an approval doesn't stall the schedule.
The cabinet lines we install include KraftMaid, Thomasville, American Woodmark, Wellborn, Diamond, Fabuwood, and MasterBrand, with fixtures and hardware sourced through Build.com.
Building permits in Charles County come from the Department of Planning & Growth Management, and applications run through the county's Citizen Self Service online portal. Building and trade inspections are done by Planchek, Inc. The county's own permit guidance lists alterations as work that needs a permit, while replacing kitchen cabinets, laying flooring, and interior painting are on its list of work that doesn't. So a straight cabinet-and-countertop swap may need no permit at all, while moving a wall or relocating the sink will.
New wiring is its own step here: Charles County only lets an electrician holding a Maryland Master license or a county-issued Restricted Master license pull an electrical permit. When your kitchen needs new circuits, we coordinate that licensed electrician and the inspections. Homes inside the Town of La Plata also go through the town's own building permit process.
