Indian Head's code says no exterior construction or alteration of any property in town can be made until a building permit has been obtained from the town. A new deck, a porch, or a screened room is exterior construction, so it needs the town permit.
The town's process has its own steps. The application goes in with drawings showing dimensions, lot lines, and where the structure sits, and the Town Clerk issues the permit only after the Town Manager approves it. We prepare the drawings and submit the application.
